1. Log into your account
2. In "Account Management" page, click on "Marketing" button
3. In "Marketing" page, click on "Create New Coupon"
4. In "Add Coupon" page, enter the following information:
a. "Code": you may create any code. We recommend 7-8 letters max, containing acronyms and MM/YY. For example, if you were giving a code to AARP during October, 2008, we'd suggest AARP1008. (note, the code IS case sensitive)
b. "Description": put a description of the coupon so you will recognize it later
c. "Expiration": enter an expiration or leave it blank for a perpetual coupon
d. "Application": There are 2 types, the first option is called "Order Subtotal". It discounts by the sum (not including tax or shipping) of all products that the buyer adds to the shopping cart. The second option is called "Distinct Products", that discounts by certain products, but not others. For example, if you had a two products, a single DVD and a 5-pack DVD, and you only want the coupon to apply to the 5-pack DVD, then you would check off the box next to the 5-Pack DVD.
e. "Items": this check-off box is used only if you select "Distinct Items" (discussed in the previous paragraph)
f. "Discount Type": this option allows you to select if the discount will be a flat rate (such as "$5.00") or by percentage (such as "10%")
g. "Discount": this is where you enter either the $5.00 or 10%. (Note: you do NOT have to type in the dollar sign or the percentage sign)
h. "Lower Limit": this is for "Order Subtotal" coupons, where you want the coupon to work only if the buyer reaches a certain threshold. For example, the coupon will work only if they buy more than $100 of merchandise.
5. Click on "Create" to finish the process
